Σίγουρα ο χρόνος τερματισμού είναι αυτός που έχει μεγαλύτερη σημασία για έναν αθλητή, αλλά για τα αγαπημένα του πρόσωπα που τον περιμένουν και οι ενδιάμεσοι χρόνοι παίζουν ρόλο.
Ακόμη σημαντικότερο ρόλο παίζουν και για την διοργάνωση η οποία έχει την ευθύνη όλων των αθλητών και θέλει να γνωρίζει τα περάσματα τους και αν ή οχι εχουν καθυστερίσει να περάσουν απο κάποιον σταθμό.
